Hello!

I’m Bernadette Oppong, founder of Naturelie Skincare. This brand was born out of my personal relationship with Jesus and a journey of rediscovering the joy of self-care.

Growing up in a West African home, I was always surrounded by natural skincare products imported from Ghana — rich butters, and natural products that were far healthier for the skin. But as I grew older, I drifted toward commercial skincare. Many of those products were filled with chemicals and additives I didn’t understand — and soon they left my skin irritated, inflamed, dry, and sensitive.

Those skin challenges led me back to my West African roots and inspired me to explore  ancient practices of Ayurveda from India. Ayurveda is a holistic wellness system centered on the belief that nature helps restore balance within the body and skin.

Inspired by these traditions, I began studying botanical ingredients and herbs known for their nourishing and soothing properties. These are natural grown ingredients help support the skin barrier, replenish moisture, and promote healthy-looking skin. This approach has influenced my passion for creating natural skincare for dry skin, sensitive skin, and melanin-rich skin using herbal skincare ingredients and plant-based skincare.

By combining traditional wisdom with intentional skincare, I believe in supporting healthy skin, skin barrier health, and long-lasting hydration through ingredients that work in harmony with the skin.

As I learned more, starting documenting my skin journey on Instagram, I used to think products were the answer to getting rid of blemishes, dark spots, pores. I was still dealing with those problems because of body inflammation, stress, and poor eating habits. It wasn't until I brought it to God that everything started changing. One year later my skin, my energy, my clarity completely different — He gave me the help I needed (not knowing at the time) not realizing God wanted to heal me completely

Creating content became a joy, but creating relief for women who can’t find a permanent solution for their skin barrier became my mission.

While our products are created with the unique needs of darker skin tones in mind, they are made for all skin types seeking real relief, nourishment, and confidence — without filters.
