Hello!

I’m Bernadette Oppong, founder of Naturelie Skincare. This brand was born out of my personal relationship with Jesus and a journey of rediscovering the joy of self-care.

Growing up in a West African home, I was always surrounded by natural skincare products imported from Ghana — rich butters, and natural products that were far healthier for the skin. But as I grew older, I drifted toward commercial skincare. Many of those products were filled with chemicals and additives I didn’t understand — and soon they left my skin irritated, inflamed, dry, and sensitive.

Those flare-ups pushed me back to my roots and into deeper research. I began studying West African herbal medicine and the gentle yet powerful practices of Ayurveda from India. Ayurveda is an ancient healing system built on the belief that nature restores balance. Its earth-grown herbs are known to calm inflammation, replenish moisture, and strengthen the skin barrier — making it especially effective for inflammed dry,  hyperpigmentation, and eczema-prone skin.

As I learned more, I started documenting my skin journey on Instagram, sharing what I was discovering and testing formulas based on my own lived experience with dryness, dark spots, irritation, and eczema-prone skin. Creating content became a joy, but creating relief for women who can’t find a permanent solution for their skin barrier became my mission.

We believe your skin is never the problem — it simply needs the right support and ingredients it can trust. Our formulas are handcrafted using herbs, oils, and butters, and are always free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and steroids. This gives women — especially women of color — a gentle, natural alternative to harsh products that often damage the skin over time.

While our products are created with the unique needs of darker skin tones in mind, they are made for all skin types seeking real relief, nourishment, and confidence — without filters.
